Biography: Novalima is a created group of musical production in 2001 by four Peruvian residents in Lima (Ramon Dark Perez), Barcelona (Grimaldo Of the Lot), London (Rafael Morals) and Hong Kong (Carlos Li Cheek). Its music is influenced by afro-Peruvian percussions and Latin fused with beats downtempo, dub, they broken and house.
In the 2002, the group recorded its Album titled debut “novalima�, mixed in February of the 2003 in the study The Premises in London, masterizado in Sterling Sound - New York and sent independently in March of the same year.
After meeting in Lima in January of the 2004 for a series of live presentations, novalima I regroup in London in the middle of the same year to finalize the production of his 2do disc, “afro�, a selection of versions and remezclas of afro-Peruvian traditional songs (some of which they have more than 100 years of antiquity), fused with electronic rates, dub, and own compositions.
“Afro� mainly was recorded in Lima, and contains vocal contributions and samples of Peruvian legend such as Fight Kings, Lucila Fields, Nicomedes Santa Cruz, and Sambo Cavero;
In June 2004, the collective company/signature with the disquera Outcaste Record UK (subsidiary of EMI-Music) 1er Single of the Album, call “Black Rates� (a futurist sailor dub with the song inclusion of Nicomedes Santa Cruz), published in vinyl 12� as well as including in the compilation “Latin Essential Flavas Two�.
